I used to think I needed to work all the time, now I know I need balance and rest.

I used to think money would bring me the happiness I longed for. Now I know true happiness is found somewhere else.
I used to think taking breaks at work would hurt me. Now I know that not taking breaks will hurt me.
I used to think if I stopped working I'd be missing out on something. Now I know when I stop working, I open myself up to increased productivity and creativity.
I used to think the best ideas will come during work. Now I know the best ideas come when my mind and spirit are at rest.
I used to think work comes first. Now I know I have to come first.
I used to think I had no control over work. Now I know I control what I do, when I do it and how I do it.
I used to think balance was impossible. Now I know balance is a goal that is attainable.
I used to think I'd never have hobbies again. Now I know that I can budget time for the activities I enjoy.
I used to think my priorities had to be rigid. Now I know I can reassess things at anytime.
I used to think being satisfied would lead to complacency. Now I know that celebrating milestones brings great satisfaction.
I used to think I could never do enough at work. Now I know when to say enough so that my health isn't compromised.
I used to work too much. Now I work enough.
